Rain, Rain

Rain on the green grass,
Rain on the tree,
Rain on the house top,
But not on me.

Planting a Seed

 Tune: I’m a Little Teapot

I plant a little seed in the cold, cold ground.
Out comes the yellow sun, big and round.
Down come the raindrops soft and slowly
Up comes the flower grow, grow, grow!

Planting Flowers Song

Tune:  Frere Jacques

Planting flowers, planting flowers,
In the ground, in the ground,
Water them and they grow,
Water them and they grow,
All around, all around.

Pitter – Patter
Pitter-patter falls the rain,
On the roof and windowpane.
Softly, softly it comes down,
Pitter-patter all around.

Raindrops
This is the sun high in the sky.
Here comes a dark cloud sailing by.
These are the raindrops, pitter-pattering down.
They water the flowers that grow in the ground.

 Here Comes a Bunny
Here is a bunny with ears so funny. (hold up index and middle finger on one hand)
And here is his hole in the ground. (make hole by cupping other hand)
When a noise he hears, he picks up his ears (extend index and middle finger for ears)
And hops in his hole in the ground. (place fingers from bunny hand into hole)

April Clouds

Two little clouds one April day

(hold both hands in fists)

Went sailing across the sky

(move fists from left to right)

They went so fast that they bumped their heads

(bump fists together)

And both began to cry

(point to eyes)

The big round sun came out and said,

(make circle with arms)

“Oh never mind my dears,

I’ll send all my sunbeams down

(wiggle fingers downward like rain)

To dry your fallen tears.”

Earth Day Song

Tune: Mary had a Little Lamb

Plant a seed and you will see,

You will see, you will see,

Plant a seed and you will see

What a beautiful world it can be.

Help us to recycle things,

Recycle things, recycle things,

Help up to recycle things,

What a beautiful world it brings.

Put your trash where it belongs,

Where it belongs, where it belongs,

Put your trash where it belongs,

And the world stays beautiful for long.

Pretend You are a Growing Plant

Tune: Do You Know the Muffin Man?

This is the way we stay in the ground

Stay in the ground, stay in the ground

This is the way we stay in the ground

Underneath the soil (children crouch down low)

This is the way we start to grow

Start to grow, start to grow

This is the way we start to grow

In the bright sunlight (children slowly start to stand)

This is the way we grow up tall

Grow up tall, grow up tall

This is the way we grow up tall

When the raindrops fall (stand up tall and sway)

This is the way we stretch and sway

Stretch and sway, stretch and sway

This is the way we stretch and sway

In the sun all day (stretch high and sway back and forth)
